DUPE ALERT!! Beauty Blender

So if you are a beauty junkie like me, I can guarantee that you've heard of the Beauty Blender. The little pink egg shaped sponge that is pretty much a gift from the makeup Gods when it comes to makeup application. (I have THREE of them because they are just that good) This little sponge gives your foundation and concealer such a flawless even finish! All you do is run it under warm water until it grows to about twice it's normal size and squeeze it out and pounce it on your skin to apply your liquid makeup with it damp. The egg shape is ideal for getting underneath your eyes for concealer.

The Beauty blender runs about $20 on the Sephora website and that's a little pricey for a makeup sponge if you ask me (even if it isn't just your average everyday makeup sponge)! Well, I watched itsbl0ndie's video on YouTube where she found a dupe for the beauty blender and I had to try it out for myself! The Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge (I found mine at ULTA) works just as wonderfully! It really is a perfect dupe and for a fraction of the price! 6 BUCKS!!! It has a unique shape that also makes it easy for under eye application and it's just as soft and fluffy! So go out to ULTA and get you one ladies, or visit the Real Techniques website, you won't be disappointed!

Also, a quick side note-  to clean these you can just use Dawn dish soap! Be gentle so you don't rip the sponge! ;) it's extremely important to clean all your brushes and sponges every 1-2 weeks as needed to avoid irritating your skin!

House update plus pictures!!

Hellloooo! So today was such a big day for us. We closed on our house and we found out our offer was accepted for the land we wanted! 5 1/2 acres!!! So perfect for us! Last week we got our official floor plan and I am already so in love. It's so much fun getting to pick exactly what you want and how you want your house! I can't wait until I get to pick colors, tile, wood, cabinets... All that good stuff (and don't worry I will be posting about it ALL for those of you who are interested in following along in this journey)!
We had to move most of our stuff into storage and we are almost settled into our temporary home. I'm so incredibly thankful that my family had my back (as always) and my grandpa gave up his "man cave" house for us while we are in limbo with the whole house situation. Tonight was my first night cooking in our new place and I made white chicken chili to go with this crazy freezing weather! Can't believe we were having lunch out on the patio of a restaurant on Sunday afternoon and now I don't even dare step outside besides walking to my car!!

Anyways, I wanted to share some pictures of the land we are building on, I can NOT wait until we start seeing progress. Thanks for reading!!!

Leopard!!!

Hello! So this past weekend was spent packing as much as I could since we will be moving out next week! I still cannot believe it! As ready as I am to start this new chapter and move on to bigger things, it really will be bitter sweet moving out of our first home together. We're having to keep  the majority of our things in storage which really sucks, but it will be worth it in the end!
On Sunday I took a break from packing to go have lunch with my mother in law at Olive Garden (yum) and I wore some leopard pants that I am absolutely in love with! I paired them with a plain black tank and some strappy sandals since it was pretty warm out.

Pants- Gianni Binni
Shoes- Steve Madden
Watch- Michael Kors
Sunglasses- Dolce & Gabbana
Bag- Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM

My hubby FINALLY comes home today! He ended up not having to work the extra week they had asked him to, so I was extremely happy! Tomorrow we have a meeting with a home builder here in town. He actually built the house that we were just over the moon in love with a while back that sold before we could get an offer on our house.
